The most unique feature of the Zone Technique is how the Zone Technique practitioner evaluates the patient. There are only six kinds of disturbances that can affect the human body. These are glandular, eliminative, nervous system, digestive system, muscular system, and circulatory system. All disease conditions, aches and pains, and other discomforts experienced by the patient or the human body can be attributed to one or more of the above regions being in a state of disturbance. So when the practitioner or chiropractor evaluates the patient, we are looking to see where the imbalance is.
The patient will present with a physical distress or even an emotional distress, which is accompanied with the condition that they came in with. The practitioner will use the cranial sacral technique to aid in diagnosis. When a tender point is found, we know what specific zones of the spine to treat. What we find is that when we reduce the nervous system stressor, the patient’s physical and emotional complaint improves. It is important for the practitioner to realize they are not just working with a physical ailment. We are always working with the mind and body together.
